Foreign Exchange

The department participates actively in the Foreign Studies Program and sponsors its own German Exchange Program. Study tours abroad are frequently planned and take place either during winter break or during summer session.

Internships
Work experience always enhances your marketability after graduation and international work experience is essential if you're interested in a foreign-language related field. As part of the major or minor program, you're encouraged to seek internship experience in the United States or abroad. You can take advantage of a variety of study abroad opportunities to enhance your learning and explore your interests. In the past, students have studied or interned in Costa Rica, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Mexico.
Learning Lab

The Macintosh-based Culpeper Learning Lab offers a unique collection of software and video resources to facilitate foreign language acquisition by deaf and hard of hearing learners. Certain classes meet regularly in the lab and you're welcome to use the learning materials on your own during evening drop-in hours.
